Ladies Captain 2013/14
We are fully integrated into the club, with equal voting rights, and are represented on both the Captain's, Management, Greens and Social committees.
Our Ladies' Day is a Tuesday morning but there are monthly medals and stablefords held during the weekends each month, for those ladies who can’t play during the week. There are no playing restrictions at weekends.
Ladies will find Brookmans Park an ideal place to play and improve their golf, whatever their golfing experience. For ladies new to the game, we run a Teaching Academy to enable them to try golf before committing to an annual membership.
For those who already have a handicap, and enjoy friendly social golf, we have stablefords and trophy competitions played throughout the year, as well as friendly ladies and mixed matches against other local clubs.
For the more competitive ladies we have plenty of medal or qualifying competitions, and we regularly have teams competing in county and national competitions, such as The County League, Pearson Trophy, Mail on Sunday and Daily Mail Foursome.
To involve friends and family, there are "mixed frolics" held during the year. These are fun competitions, usually a greensomes, followed by an evening meal and prize giving. We also run a Ladies Open each year in August, which is an ideal opportunity to sample the course and our other facilities.
The Ladies run two Bridge teams who play matches against other clubs and also arrange Bridge amongst themselves.
A warm welcome awaits all new members.
If you are interested in joining our academy, considering membership, trying to organise a ladies away-day, or simply looking for a friendly round of golf, please contact our administration team, who will be very pleased to assist you.
