Tee it up at Brookmans Park

A charming parkland course of just under 6,500 yards, offering a stern test that requires a variety of shots for golfers of all handicaps. Our two large lakes in the centre of the course provide a natural beauty and some fantastic holes navigate their surrounds. During recent years many new trees have been planted, in addition to reshaping of holes and greens helps the course to stand up to the challenge of modern equipment. As well as offering excellent golf, the woodland and lakes provide an attractive home for a wide range of wildlife.

Course Tour

Starting off the round

The front nine offers variety and the opportunity to build a score with three tempting par 5’s and well protected par 3’s. However, with water coming into play on two of the par 5’s, the 5th and 7th, these holes should not be underestimated. Additionally, the 1st, 2nd and 8th are par 4’s that will challenge the most skilled golfer with the 1st being probably the toughest starting hole in the county. As well as fantastic golf the front nine offers some spectacular views.

Take a break at the turn

Following a stop at the recently refurbished halfway hut we then head down the hill to the 10th green and first sight of the signature 11th hole. A 166 yard shot over the lake to a generous but well-protected green. The 12th offers a different challenge with a long second shot back uphill to one of our most testing greens. The 13th and 14th do offer better birdie opportunities but with trees and layered rough on each side, a wayward shot could see you score suffer.

The final challenge

After tackling the final par 3, 15th, the course finishes with three very tough holes. The 16th provides a memorable drive through an avenue with woods each side of the fairway. The 17th provides a tough tee shot with hazards on both sides and narrowing fairway as you approach the green. And, finally the 18th as picturesque and testing as any finishing hole with a well-protected raised green. Walking off the 18th green the view of the course can be admired one final time before reflecting on a round of fair but challenging golf in a fantastic setting.
