3rd Hole - Great Oaks
Named after the two Great Oak trees, one each side of the fairway.
A reasonably straight Par 5 with two excellently positioned fairway bunkers at 240 yards. A ditch on the right runs down the full length of the hole and with trees down the left, hitting the fairway is very important. An accurate second shot is required as the fairway slopes down to the green which is protected by two more bunkers. Miss the green to the left and you are left with a challenging chip shot over a bunker onto a two-tier sloping green with a big drop off the back if you overhit your shot.
